Langtang, Gosaikunda and Helambu Trek

Langtang-Gosainkunda-Helambu trek starts from Syabrubesi, which lies in the Northern part of Kathmandu Valley. It is one of the easily accessible trekking routes in Nepal. If you are very strict on schedule and have no spare time, then Langtang-Gosainkunda-Helambu trek is the right trekking route for you. It takes you to the Langtang valley, passes through Gosainkunda lake, and down to Helambu village. If you are lucky enough, you can spot a few rare and conserved animals and birds. Red panda can be one of the exotic animals to be seen on your wishlist. The whole trek takes around 10 to 15 days to complete. This trek is suitable throughout the year. The path goes through the oak, rhododendron, pine, mountains, and rocky landscapes leading you to Gosainkunda lake. It is a holy lake and most important pilgrimage destination for both Hindus and Buddhists. Then it leads to the Kyanjin Gompa, an ancient monastery present here. Mountain ranges surround it, and you can have the best view of Ganesh Himal, Langtang Lirung, Langtang Ri, Langsisa peak, Langtang Himal, and Ganjala peak. Then you decent down towards the Hyolmo village of Helambu after crossing Laurebina pass. You can explore the Tibetan cultures and traditions of local Sherpas and Tamang people. Helambu is rich in cultural heritage with a delightful climate.

Day 4: Trek To Lama Hotel (2500 m, 6-7 hours)

Day 5: Trek to Langtang (3307 m, 5-6 hours)

Day 6: Trek to Kyanjing (3798 m, 3-4 hours)

Day 7: Trek to Lama Hotel (2500 m, 7-8 hours) via Kyanjing Ri (4000 m)

Day 8: Trek to Thulo Syabru (2250 m, 5-6 hours)

Day 9: Trek to Singompa (3250 m, 5-6 hours)

Day 10: Trek to Gosaikunda (4300m, 5-6 hours)

Day 11: Trek to Phedi via Gosaikunda Pass (4330m, 5-6 hours)

Day 12: Trek to Thadipati (3600 m, 5-6 hours)

Day 13: Trek to Kutunsang (2400 m, 5-6 hours)

Day 14: Trek to Chipling (2000 m, 5-6 hours)

Day 15: Trek to Chisapani (2400 m, 5-6 hours)

Day 17: Departure from Kathmandu

 

 

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1300 M)

After your arrival in Kathmandu, at Tribhuvan International Airport, a representative from Finding Nepal Treks will pick up and welcomes you to a beautiful Himalayan country Nepal. You will be transferred to the hotel in an Air-conditioned Tourist vehicle. After completing all the check-in process, you will be briefed about your trip, and your documents are collected for all the required permits. Overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 02: Kathmandu sightseeing and trekking preparation.

After having breakfast at the hotel, we will go sightseeing around UNESCO World heritage sites. We will start our city tour from Bouddha Nath Stupa, which is also known as the largest stupa in the world. After having soulful time in buddha, we will head towards next UNESCO World heritage sites Pashupatinath. Pashupatinath is the holy temple of Hindus around the globe. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, also known as adhiyogi. After completing sightseeing at Pashupatinath, we will again head towards the next UNESCO World heritage site Swayambhunath. Swyambhunath Stupa is still the holy place for Buddhist religion and Hindu religion people. Both Buddhist and Hindu communities people worship each other gods gracefully inside Nepal. After completing sightseeing, we will head back to the hotel and prepare for the upcoming trek. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi by bus (1462 M, 5-6 hours)

Today is your day three, and we will start our trek. After having breakfast at the hotel, we will take a regular passenger bus to Syabrubesi from New bus park Kathmandu. Our bus ride takes around 6 – 7 hours to reach Syabrubesi. Overnight stay at Syabrubesi in the hotel.

Day 04: Trek from Syabrubesi to Lama hotel. (2500 m, 6-7 hours)

Today is your day four, and we will start our trek right after having our breakfast. After leaving the hotel for the trek, we will cross the Bhote Koshi river, which flows down from Tibet. After crossing the river, we will follow the path which gradually climbs uphill. After walking for 30 minutes, we will see the Langtang river and follow the way along the bank of the Langtang River. We will take our lunch at a place called bamboo and take rest for some time. After rest and lunch, we will continue the uphill climb to lama hotel. After an hour walk through trails, we will cross the Langtang River through the suspension bridge. We will not see any good view while today’s trek. After walking for 6-7 hours, we will reach a Lama hotel and Overnight Stay at the Lama Hotel.

Day 05: Trek From Lama hotel to Langtang. (3307 M, 5-6 hours)

Today is your day five, and we will start our trek right after having our breakfast at Lama hotel. After leaving the hotel, we will step forward and follow the path along the bank of the river until a place called Thangshep, where we will have our lunch and take some rest. After taking some rest and lunch, we will move forward, and our trails still climb uphill in Stoney steps. After walking for one hour, We will reach in Gumba danda. We will take some rest and continue our actions. After walking for almost 1 hour, we reach Langtang Valley. Overnight stay at Langtang In the hotel.  

Day 06:Trek from Langtang to Kyanjing ( 3798 M, 3-4 Hours)

Today is your day six, and we will start our trek right after having our breakfast at the hotel in Langtang. Right after starting the trek, we will go through straight uphill for 20 minutes and reach to Mundu Village. Way after mundu village easy for today. The valley widens more further and offers us beautiful views. This whole place is famous for Yak farming and cheese production. Dramatic peaks on all sides surround the valley. Now we will experience rocky steps uphill for around 20 minutes and reach Kyanjing where we will have our lunch and take rest. Overnight stay at Kyanjing in the Tea house.

Day 07: Trek to the Lama hotel(2250 M, 7-8 Hours) via Kyanjig Ri (4000 M)

Today is your day seven, and we will start the trek today early at 5 AM. and climb to Kyanjig Ri peak for Sunrise. It takes 2 hours to summit Kyanjing Ri. After spending a wonderful time at the summit, we will head back to today’s destination. We return to Kyanjing and take our breakfast. After breakfast, we return to Lama hotel via the same path to Kyanjing. On our return back we take our lunch at Ghoda Tabala and head back to Lama hotel. Today we will walk for almost 7-8 hours and reach The Lama hotel. Overnight stay At the Lama hotel.

Day 08: Trek from Lama Hotel to Thulo Syabru (2250 M, 5-6 hours)

Today is day eight, and we will start our trek right after having our breakfast at the Lama hotel. Right after we start today’s trek, we will follow the path downhill until Pahiro. After taking rest for some time, we will begin to our feet again to Tholo Syabru. The trail now is climbing uphill until the view-point, and it might take us 3-4 hours to climb up to the view-point. We will take power rest at the view-point and start our trek again. The path now is quite easy-going. After walking for almost 1 hour, we will reach today’s destination Thulo Syabru. Overnight Stay at the Tea House in Thulo Syabru.

Day 09: Trek from Thulo Syabru to Singompa (Chandanbari) (3250 M, 5-6 hours)

Today is day nine, and we will start our trek right after having our breakfast at the tea house. Right after we start our feet, we climb uphill for almost 4 hours and reach the summit of a hill called view danda. We will take power rest and enjoy the beautiful view of mighty mountains (Langtang range, Annapurna Range, Ganesh Himal Range). We will have our lunch at this place. After spending a lovely time in view danda, we will start our feet again and head towards today’s destination called Chandanbari. It takes almost 2 hours to reach Chandanbari via trials that go to the forest of Ox tree and rhododendron tree. Overnight Stay at the tea house in Chandanbari.

Day 10: Trek from Singompa to Gosaikunda (4300 Metres, 5-6 Hours)

Today is day ten, and we will start our trek right after having our breakfast at the tea house at Chandanbari. Right After we start our feet, our path leads to climbing uphill, and it continues to Cholangpati. After reaching Cholangpati, we will take a short break and drink tea or other soft beverage. After tea break, we will head towards today’s destination and again start the uphill climb. After walking for almost 3-4 hours on a rocky step, we will reach the place called Lauribinayak and take rest for having our lunch. After lunch and having some rest, we will again lift our feet and head towards Gosaikunda. After almost 3 hours of hard climbing uphill, we will reach a beautiful holy place called Gosaikunda at Elevation at 4300 M. Overnight stay at the Tea house in the bank of Gosaikunda Lake. 

Day 11: Trek From Gosaikunda To Phedi via Lauribinayak Pass(4610 M, 5-6 hours)

Today is day eleven, and we will start our trek right after having our breakfast at the tea house in Gosaikunda. The first 1.5 hours of the trek is climbing uphill through stony steps along the bank of lake Gosaikunda and the other six lakes. After reaching the last Kunda called Surya Kunda, which is at an elevation of 4610 Metres. Now our trails will be smoother because today we don’t need to go uphill. We will cross Lauri Binayak pass and continue decent of our trails. The landscape surrounded by rocky mountains looks stunning during our descend. After almost 7 hours of walk, we will reach the place called Pedi, which is in the cliff of the hill and holds an elevation of 3600 M. Overnight stay at Phedi in the tea house.

Day 12: Trek from Phedi to Thadepati (3600 M, 5-6 hours)

Today is day Twelve, and we will start our trek right after having our breakfast at the tea house in Phedi. Right after we start the feet to trails, we will begin by descending and continue it. Today Trails goes uphill and downhill as the path continues. After walking for almost 3 hours, we reach a place called Ghopte, where we will have our lunch and take rest. If the weather favors us, we will get an astounding view of Ghopte. After taking rest and lunch we will again set off our feet to trails and continue to Thadepati. Still, the trails lead us to uphill and downhill as the path continues. After almost 3 hours of walk, we will reach the place called Thadepati at an elevation of 3600 M. Overnight Stay at Thadepati at The tea house. 

Day 13: Trek from Thadepati to Kutumsang(2400 M, 5-6 hours)

Today is day thirteen, and we will start our trek right after having our breakfast at the tea house in Thadepati. Right after we start the feet to trails, we will begin by descending and continue it. Today Trails goes uphill and downhill as the path continues. After walking for almost 3 hours, we reach a place called Mangingoth, where we will have our lunch and take rest. After taking rest and lunch we will again set off our feet to trails and continue to Kutumsang. Still, the trails lead us to uphill and downhill as the path continues. After almost 3 hours of walk, we will reach the place called Kutumsang at an elevation of 2400 M. Overnight Stay at Kutumsang at The tea house.

Day 14: Trek from Kutumsang to Chipping (2000 m, 5-6 hours)

Today is day fourteen, and we will start our trek right after having our breakfast at the tea house in Kutumsang. Right after we start the feet to trails, we will begin by descending and continue it. Today Trails goes uphill and downhill as the path continues. After walking for almost 3 hours, we reach a place called Golphubhyanjang, where we will have our lunch and take rest. After taking rest and lunch we will again set off our feet to trails and continue to Chipping. Still, the trails lead us to uphill and downhill as the path continues. After almost 3 hours of walk, we will reach the place called Chipping at an elevation of 2000 M. Overnight Stay at Chipping at The tea house.

Day 15: Trek from Chipping to Chisapani(2100 M, 5-6 hours)

Today is day fifteen, and we will start our trek right after having our breakfast at the tea house in Chipping. Right after we start the feet to trails, we will begin by descending and continue it. Today Trails goes uphill and downhill as the path continues. After walking for almost 3 hours, we reach a place called Mulkharka, where we will have our lunch and take rest. After taking rest and lunch we will again set off our feet to trails and continue to Chisapani. Still, the trails lead us to uphill and downhill as the path continues. After almost 3 hours of walk, we will reach the place called Chisapani at an elevation of 2100 M. Overnight Stay at Chisapani at The tea house.

Day 16: Trek from Chisapani to Sundarijal(1400 M, 5-6 hours)

Today is day fifteen and the last day of the trek. We will start our trek right after having our breakfast at the tea house in Chisapani. Today we will walk inside Shivapuri National park Forest and reach Sundarijal, Kathmandu, in almost 5 hours. We will drive from Sundari Jal to Kathmandu on a private vehicle. Overnight Stay at Hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 17: Departure from Kathmandu

Today is your last day in Nepal. Let us know if you have other wishes that we can fulfill. Else we will farewell you and drop you Airport 3 hours before your departure time. Have a safe journey, and See you soon!
