Mardi Himal Trek is one of the popular treks in Nepal and lies in the Annapurna region of Nepal. Mardi Himal base camp is at the altitude of 4500m. The entire Annapurna range is visible from these points. It is a short and easy trek. It is a trek that can be done within 6 to 8 days from Pokhara. Mountainous environment, soaked view of green hills and snowcapped mountains are the main attraction for trekkers here. The way to the Mardi Himal base camp walks into the dense forest of rhododendron and oak. Annapurna mountain range, Dhaulagiri at the west, Mt. Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) at east and Manaslu mountain range in the east can be viewed from here. Mardi Himal is located beneath Mt. Machhapuchhre. After a ride from Pokhara, the trek begins from Kande. The ways pass through forest and stone-paved ways. The view of sunrise and sunset falling on the mountain ranges makes the view more mesmerizing — the extraordinary views of forests, villages, valleys, terraced farms, rivers complete the beauty. The villages are the residence of Gurung and Magars, which gives trekkers the opportunity to know their socio-cultural values and lifestyles of the community. Mardi Himal trek was officially started in 2012. Now, it is one of the best treks in Nepal.
